A Film Noir styled scene of the classic private eye getting a desperate visit by some blubbering client. In this case, though, it's no hysterical dame but a foppish dandy.
Might not be quite done: need to tweak the lighting a bit more and put up a coloured version. Otherwise, it's at wallpaper size and ratio: perfect for widescreen monitors.
A full scene for a change: decided to actually do a background and multiple characters in the same piece. Shocking! Many points I don't think about it, though: really need to work on my soft shading skills in Photoshop, and backgrounds. And linework. Ugh . . .
On a side note:
Hey kids! Can you spot the stereotypical office furnishing from any typical Film Noir private eye flick? Find them all!
Nice work, by the way
Stereotypical office furnishing... Um, the door plaque/sign, trench coat on a jacket rack, non-touch-tone phone (what's up with that? You'd think private eyes would be the first ones to jump on the touch-tone dialing bandwagon, after all, it's a lot faster than ring dialing, and private eyes need to be efficient!), the random and needlessly useless cabinet that's always in a corner (really, now, what kind of paper work could a private eye REALLY need to keep in a cabinet? C'mon... their field of work doesn't create that much paper work to file away).
Yep, that's 'bout what I think (the magnifying glass and other stuff on the table doesn't really strike me as being "stereotypical").
